Meet Amber

Amber has dedicated her career to protecting the most vulnerable in our community. She brings skill, compassion, and kindness to her clients and assists them in navigating what is often the most confusing and frightening time of their lives. For Amber, there is nothing more rewarding than supporting and empowering crime victims—and in doing so, shifting the power from the abuser to the survivor.
Amber spent the first 13 years of her career as a prosecutor for the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office. She worked closely with law enforcement, medical providers, schools, child protective services, and other partner agencies to investigate and prosecute some of the most complex cases in Multnomah County.
With over eight years of experience in major person felonies, she gained specific expertise in crimes of violence within families, including partner-on-partner violence and child abuse.
She was a member of the Multnomah County Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Team (MDT) for six years and became a leader in the State of Oregon on cases involving physical and sexual abuse against children and child homicides.
In her role as an MDT Deputy District Attorney, Amber also represented the State of Oregon in dependency cases—civil matters where the State intervenes to protect children who are unsafe in their homes. Her work in these cases complemented her criminal prosecutions, both centered on one priority: maintaining the child’s health, safety, and well-being.
Amber is a frequent speaker on child abuse and trial advocacy, presenting to government agencies, private corporations, and community organizations. She has also educated fellow attorneys through continuing legal education programs and co-authored the Criminal Law: Search and Seizure chapter for the Oregon State Bar.
Beyond the courtroom, Amber is a devoted mother of three and an active member of her community. She volunteers at her children’s schools, serves on the local PTA board, and brings her passion for nurturing and advocacy into every aspect of her life.
Amber is deeply committed to issues impacting women and fights for justice, safety, and equality. Having built her career in a male-dominated field, she uses her voice to empower fellow women and mothers.
A proud Oregonian born and raised in Eugene, Amber attended South Eugene High School, earned her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, and returned to Oregon for law school at the University of Oregon. She speaks French, loves to ski, and might just be the world’s biggest Little League fan.
